Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to have a scroll through ASOS’s new in section pretty much every day! I’ve shopped on ASOS for years but more recently, it has turned into my ‘go to site’ to buy clothes for ANY occasion and I will rarely order online from anywhere else.

My style is all over the showwww to be honest. Meaning, one day ill be looking minimal and classic wearing a chiffon blouse and the next ill have the ugliest and loudest shirt on that will definitely offend your grandma. ASOS is always there to help a brother out in mastering the art of having no exact style because they have so much bloody stuff to choose from and so many different styles and brands.

So, without further or do here is what I bought from ASOS in the month of August….

First up is- ASOS DESIGN Tall dungaree dress in washed black. I absoloutley love dungarees and already own 2 pairs of full length ones from the ASOS denim range, so thought I would try a different style in them! First of all, I always find that the quality of ASOS design denim is always amazing and washes really well which is key in adult life, am I right?!

I bought these in a size 14 which is one size up from what I usually go for because I wanted them to look a bit more oversized and also because, this is an item of clothing I will definitely wear during the winter so having the extra room gives me the flexibility to wear thicker jumpers underneath them! I also chose to buy these in the tall range as I am 5ft 8 so it avoids my bum crack being on show. Bit crude I know, but taller girls will agree with me that it can be so difficult to find dresses that allow for a bit more length. Having the extra length also means that this dress can be a transitional garment with the ability to be worn in the summer with bare legs and sandals or trainers. I've added a couple of pins to the front just make it a bit more funky, the smaller pin says ‘why bloody not’ & is actually from a small business I recently started to follow on Instagram called Elephant bum- https://www.elephantbum.co.uk/ - they do some amazing products and add lovely personal touches to their deliveries- HELL YES TO SMALL BUSINESSES!

Paired the dungaree dress with a simple striped tee with pink detailing, by Chorus that has heart hands design embroidery. I bought this top a bit larger then I normally would go for, like I did with the dungaree dress to give it an oversized look. This item of clothing will be a staple piece in my wardrobe as its easy to pair with so many different outfits and wearable for all seasons.

My next item is this amazing Disney logo tee by berksha. Im a MASSIVE Disney lover so when I saw this on the site I just had to have it. Really easy to wear, lovely fabric, an all-round winner for anyone who is a Disney fan!

I paired the disney tee with these ASOS DESIGN shorts – Now, these were my star buy! I actually came across these shorts from an ASOS insiders Instagram page- https://www.instagram.com/wearsitatkat/?hl=en .She had actually bought these shorts in three sizers bigger than she usually wears. This actually BLEW my mind when I first read it. I’ve always always always struggled buying shorts because of my height, most of the time my bum cheeks hang out of them or they rise up and its just all sorts of wrong! So I always try to find longer length shorts. So anyway, after seeing Kat’s post I went directly to the site and purchased the shorts in a size 18, yes SIZE 18. I was sceptical at first, not gonna lie but they arrived and I swear to god, they are the best god damn shorts I have ever bought, perfect length, loads of room for my thick thighs to be free and they look funky as hell! All credit for this part of the blog goes to Kat for sharing this gem of creativity with the world, totally inspired! EVERYONE needs to go and follow her immediately lolz.

Next up is this polkadot long sleeved tiered effect dress from misguided tall range. This is the first thing I have ever bought from misguided and actually kept. Normally dresses I order from missguided have been way too short. This dress sits at the perfect length for me being 5ft8 so would recommend! I styled it up with my ASOS black belt that I've had for a couple of years now and paired it with my black shiny doc martin boots.

I feel that this dress is such a blank canvas to dress to any occasion, styling it with boots here has given it a more casual feel but I also plan to pair it with some simple black heels and a more powerful makeup look with a statement red lip, giving the whole look a more glam feel for a Saturday night out with the girls.

Moving onto the jumper dresses-

The one on the left is from PrettyLittleThing on the asos site, a simple grey sweater style jumper with a real cosey feel. I love this jumper, it’s so comfortable and easy to wear and the perfect length for my height. I bought it in a size 12 as it is oversized already so this was the perfect fir for me. This will definitely be a firm favourite for me as we head into the colder months as its perfect paired with leggings, boots and chunky knit scarf and hat.

The second jumper dress is ASOS DESIGN and in a gorgeous tomato colour. What I attracted me to this jumper was the colour, it just screams autumnal. A perfect cosey jumper to wear whilst drinking a pumpkin spiced latte on a crisp autumn morning. Does anyone else think of these types of scenarios when buying clothes? No? just me then. That’s okay.

And finally, accessories…

I ABSOLOUTLEY love these snake design earrings from DesignB London. I just think they are a little bit different and quirky and perfect for styling into an outfit that needs a bit more of a POW FACTOR!

Multi layer necklace below-I’ve wanted something like this for ages! All summer I’ve been mixing and matching a few necklaces that I already own to try a create the multi-layer effect which hasn’t always worked very well so when I came across this necklace on ASOS by ALDO, it answered all my problems. I love that it features some colour meaning it can bring life to a simple, minimal outfit.

All items are linked below, soz in advance if some are sold out!
