If you read the first post I did for my website, then you'll know I live on a farm. Now, usually there's not much to say about living on the farm, you would think it was your typical, chickens, pigs and tractors. Which to be fair, there is all of that. But there is also SO much more and trust me there is never a dull moment around here.

I like to think where I live is pretty cool and here's some reasons why...

Throughout the summer our farm serves as a rustic wedding venue run by my in laws and is booked up EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Which means a Saturday's and Sunday's round here are super busy. 2018 has been the first year that myself and Tom (the hubby) have become fully involved with Skipbridge Country Weddings and it has not disappointed. I'm a big family girl so combining work with spending quality time with family has been super fun, mainly because my boss is my husband which means I can have a cheeky G&T on the job without getting the sack.

Another reason Skipbridge is pretty cool is because Tom and I run our own mini business of... drum roll please.... GLAMPING! If you don't know what glamping is then... seriously... get to know! its fab! All the fun of camping with alot more glamour. I'm talking, proper mattresses and fur throws!! (faux fur guys) The best bit is you don't have to worry about actually putting up a tent because its already there for you, which means more time for prosecco.. am i right?!

Now, i know what your thinking, this blog post is just an attempt to promote our business, well its not. Ok.... maybe it is a little BUT seriously, glamping is alot of fun here at Skipbridge, I even tried it myself with some of the girls and it was fabulous (despite the outrageous rose wine hangover I had the next day).

Finally, the last thing I want to write about in regards to, why living at Skipbridge is fun and unique is... the animals! Here at the farm we have animals ranging from peacocks to alpacas! In actual fact one of the alpacas who lives here, by the name of Dave, has pretty much become famous, he legit is photographed at every single wedding and attracts all the wedding guests, he is a sucker for any type of food and posing for the camera!

He really is a very good reason to visit Skipbridge...especially glamper's... last advertising ploy, promise! :)
